A Meta-Analysis of Human Personality and Robot Acceptance in Human-Robot Interaction

Human personality has been identified as a predictor of robot acceptance in the human–robot interaction (HRI) literature. Despite this, HRI literature provided mixed support for this assertion. To better understand relationship between human and acceptance, paper conducts meta-analysis 26 studies. Results found positive acceptance. However, varied greatly by specific trait along with study sample’s age, gender diversity, task, global region. This also gaps Namely, additional studies are needed that investigate both big five traits other traits, examine more diverse age range, utilize samples from previously unexamined regions globe.
